Originally from Stellenbosch, this classic four piece band is now discovering new horizons with their debut album, Verblind deur die Son (Blinded by the sun).   The CD launches into action with the song “Die Laaste Dag” (The last day), which takes a hopeful look at the end of the world. Underscored by chello and violin compositions – which is a recurring feature throughout the album – this theme song is a powerful introduction to the band's musical essence.   The songs that follow continue to gather momentum, until the storm crashes with “Jou Oë (skyn deur my)” [Your eyes (see through me)]. The song's raw energy and striking lyrics can also be appreciated on the music video by the same name, which is included on the CD and is currently featured on the DSTV music channel MK89.   You want it in a nutshell?
